Meet KatieNaturopathic Physician, Acupuncturist, Flexible Dieting Adventurer
One thing I’ve always loved is making people feel better. From the time I was in middle school, I knew I wanted to be a doctor. I started in the health field as a personal trainer and majored in psychology as an undergrad, that transitioned into attending Bastyr University, the leading naturopathic medical school in the country as well as earning a Master’s in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Soon after graduating I was introduced to Crossfit and have been a certified Crossfit L1 trainer since 2011. To say that diet and exercise are the key components to long term health and disease prevention is an understatement. Balancing nutrition and quality of life can be tricky, we don’t always love the foods we “should” eat. Macros changed my approach to food and to dieting and has allowed me to incorporate “quality of life” into an everyday nutrition plan.

I’ve now balanced working as a acupuncturist and naturopathic physician, while still coaching and training clients. It’s through these outlets that I’ve been able to help myself. Going from a very disordered relationship with food, into one where I have found so much peace and resolution while feeling the most confident about my body and having a healthier stronger body than I did in my 20’s and early 30’s!
